DMCA / Copyright Policy
Effective date: October 20, 2026
Welcome to https://velm.app/ (the "Site"). We respect the intellectual property rights of others, just as we expect others to respect ours. All articles, images and other content on the Site are created or licensed by Velm. If you believe that any content on the Site infringes your copyright, you may send us a notice following the procedure of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, Title 17, United States Code, Section 512(c). We will review every good-faith notice and act on it promptly, wherever you are based.
Notice of infringement: claim
To submit a good-faith infringement claim, your notice must include the following information:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or of a person authorised to act on behalf of the owner.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and that you want removed, with information reasonably sufficient to let us locate it. Please include the URL of the page in question.
- Information reasonably sufficient to let us contact you, including your name, postal address, email address and phone number.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
Title 17 USC §512(f) provides for civil damages, including costs and attorney fees, against any person who knowingly and materially misrepresents information in a notification of infringement under 17 USC §512(c)(3).
Send all notices by email to hello@velm.app, with "DMCA notice" in the subject line, for prompt attention.
Please note that we may share the identity and information in any copyright infringement claim we receive with the person who provided the material, where one exists. By submitting a claim, you understand, accept and agree that your identity and claim may be communicated in this way.
Counter notification: restoration of material
If material you provided was removed because of a copyright infringement claim, you may send us a counter notification to have it restored. The counter notification must be sent in writing to hello@velm.app and must contain substantially the following elements, in line with 17 USC Section 512(g)(3):
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- A description of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before it was removed.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which Velm may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notification.
Repeat infringement
We take copyright infringement seriously. We keep a record of the notices we receive and, where content on the Site is found to infringe, we remove it and review how it was added so that the problem does not happen again.
Modifications
We reserve the right to modify the contents of this page and our policy for handling copyright claims at any time, for any reason. We encourage you to check back regularly to review this policy for any changes.
